Setting Up and Configuring Anomaly Alerts

You can receive alerts about anomalies by email or through the workplace collaboration tool Slack. Yottaa's Slack add-on YoBot sends alerts through Slack.

To set up anomaly email alerts: 

  • Contact support@yottaa.com for help setting up email alerts.
  • Contact merchantsupport@yottaa.com for help setting up email alerts.
  • Contact support@yottaa.com for help setting up email alerts.

You need a Slack account to use YoBot. If you don't have one, you can sign up on the Slack website.

To set up YoBot, you need administrator privileges in Slack.

To set up YoBot:

  1. Contact support@yottaa.com to turn on Slack alerts.

  2. Contact merchantsupport@yottaa.com to turn on Slack alerts.

  3. In Slack, create a new public Slack channel: 

    1. In Slack, in the left sidebar, next to Channels, click .

    2. Enter a name and description, and click Create.

  4. Give YoBot permission to access your Slack channel by clicking this link and following the prompts: https://slack.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=4723789395.456390598758&scope=bot,chat:write:bot,team:read,incoming-webhook,commands,chat:write:user.

  5. Invite YoBot to your Slack channel: 

    1. In Slack, open the channel you created, type @YoBot and press Enter.

      A prompt appears asking if you want to invite YoBot to the channel.

    2. Click Invite to Channel.

  6. Type @YoBot I want alerts for <domain name> or @YoBot send me anomalies for <domain name>, or something similar and press Enter.

    YoBot is built to understand and interpret your requests. You do not need to use exact words for YoBot to work.

  7. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for each site that you want to receive alerts for.
